Losing Faith

Inspiration for this poem came about by reading a post on someone else's Blog, which was entitled Losing faith In Humanity, Because of the Minority. That got me thinking what I had read on that one post well whole blog actually and what I have seen over the weeks

Losing Faith

Losing faith in humanity
All for the lack of Compassion
Through honest sincerity
It's going out of fashion

Losing faith in humanity
All for the lack of Respect
Thoughts running systematically
Burning deep with regret

Losing faith in humanity
All for the the lack of Trust
It surely is catastrophe
When even friendships go bust

Losing faith in humanity
All for the lack of forgiveness
Mainly down to the minority
Lurking in the distance

Losing faith in humanity
Gives me no reason to live
But then turns into harmony
No vindictive lies to give

Losing faith in humanity
May seem all doom and gloom
And even in reality
We hope for good times soon

Faith

Have faith in yourselves, life’s made up of ups and downs and the majority of people get their fare share of both, some times we will feel on top of the world other times we’ll feel life’s not worth living, but one thing you can be sure of and that is, no matter how bad things seem at times, things will get better, there is light and much hope at the end of every tunnel.

Blessed are the Poor in Spirit, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven.

Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.

Blessed are the Meek, for they shall inherit the earth.

Blessed are those who Hunger and Thirst for righteousness,
for they shall be satisfied.

Blessed are the Merciful, for they shall obtain mercy.

Blessed are the Pure in Heart, for they shall see GOD.

Blessed are the Peacemakers, for they shall be called (the children) of God.

Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake,

For theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven

Great Spirit Prayer

"Oh, Great Spirit, whose voice I hear in the wind,

Whose breath gives life to all the world.

Hear me; I need your strength and wisdom.

Let me walk in beauty, and make my eyes ever behold the red and purple sunset.

Make my hands respect the things you have made and my ears sharp to hear your voice

Make me wise so that I may understand the things you have taught my people.

Help me to remain calm and strong in the face of all that comes towards me.

Let me learn the lessons you have hidden in every leaf & rock.

Help me seek pure thoughts & act with the intention of helping others

Help me find compassion without empathy overwhelming me.

I seek strength, not to be greater than my brother, but to fight my greatest enemy - Myself.

Make me always ready to come to you with clean hands and straight eyes.

So when life fades, as the fading sunset, my spirit may come to you without shame.

Pawprints and memories

A grey shadow passes by,
Leaving just a memory.
A paw print in the snow,
Something to be cherished.

He hunts, hunts for his pack,
Them enslaved,
His heart filled with longing.
He gives no voice to this.

He carries on his lonely search,
Alone and weary by the day.
Leaving but pawprints,
But memories on the mind.

Finally he finds them,
Bound to man's will,
Sitting by his fire,
Unharmed and well.

Now he cries to them,
A sad voice in the dark.
His family answers with a growl,
They have turned from him.

Now alone, weary, and heartsore,
He leaves them be,
Never to be heard again,
Only pawprints and memories.

A single grey shadow.
